CAV 2 Mystery Models Part 4

Last but not least, the new Adon and Malvernis models. This will probably be the last CAV content for a while; I need some time to collect playtest results, not to mention the other projects I'm working on.

Courier: The Courier is RMI's latest APC offering, intended for rapid deployment of small teams of infantry. Small and light, its hover capability allows for maximum mobility across all terrains. It is armed with the same lightweight PBG as the Dragonfly scout gunship, allowing it to provide supporting fire against hard targets after delivering its cargo.
Hornet: The Hornet is a special case. It does have an entry in the JoR2, but I felt its placement in the faction list in CAV 2 did not align with its official background and production years (starting several years earlier than most other faction-restricted models). Despite this, I was hesitant to make it Open Market as all similar Fire Support vehicles were faction-specific. Ultimately, I elected to keep the faction Hornet as is, but I also introduced an earlier Open Market version with slightly inferior stats and no chain-fire pod.
Recluse: The Recluse represents the pinnacle of modern electronic warfare. Built on the same chassis as the Spider fire support CAV, the Recluse replaces the indirect missile launcher, targeting computers, and ammo bays with a powerful and sophisticated jamming unit and networking systems allowing it to provide ECM and share targeting data with friendly units at unprecedented ranges.
Wasp: Developed concurrently with the second-generation Hornet, the Wasp replaces the Hornet's Silk indirect missiles with the Fire III direct missiles found on the Mantis. It retains an advanced suite of targeting software, allowing it to fill a range of roles including forward reconnaissance, anti-aircraft cover, and strike coordination. Hover capability gives it excellent maneuverability even though it is slightly slower than the Hornet as a result of its thicker armor. Borsig-Spline has offered generous discounts for combined purchases of Wasps and Hornets, and recommends use in a 1:2 ratio with the Wasps providing covering fire or forward targeting solutions for the Hornets.

Eidolon: Conceived as a native ESM CAV, the design of the Eidolon was a joint effort between MK4 and Grundor House. Conforming to Malvernian sensibilities, it is slow and heavily armed and armored compared to most other ESM designs. Incorporating a brand new Grundor House-designed electronics warfare suite, as well as a chain-fire pod to allow it to support the new Specter II, the Eidolon is an ESM CAV built for the front lines.
Specter II: Hinted at for several years by Mark IV executives, the Specter II is a ground-up refinement of the highly successful Specter fire support CAV. While upgrade kits are available for the older model, focusing on internal upgrades and the new Shriek IV IFM system, truly new Specter IIs off the assembly fine also feature substantial modifications to the CAVs exterior, improving the effectiveness of its armor.
Stalker: A development on the popular Nomad reconnaissance vehicle, the Stalker features an upgraded particle bolt gun and replaces the original machine gun with a small gauss cannon. The increased firepower, as well as improved armoring, make it exceptionally effective against slow, hard targets, such as many tanks and CAVs. With their superior speed, a section of Stalkers can engage in devastating hit-and-run tactics in addition to standard scouting and strike coordination duties.
